A Sweet Day in the Country: Carretto at the Lancemore Macedon Ranges Wedding Showcase
We were thrilled to be part of the Lancemore Macedon Ranges Wedding Showcase 2025, surrounded by rolling hills, manicured hedges, and that unmistakable country calm. This picturesque venue, just an hour from Melbourne, was the perfect setting to share what the Carretto experience is all about.
A Warm Welcome in the Countryside
In the lead-up to the showcase, we connected with Elisha from the Lancemore team, who wanted the day to feel less like a sales event and more like an immersive experience. The idea was simple, to let couples wander, taste, and imagine their special day unfolding at this stunning country property.
Saturday arrived with a cool 14°C forecast, but when the sun broke through, it felt surprisingly warm. Driving down the long gravel road lined with trees on both sides set the tone perfectly – peaceful, inviting, and beautifully maintained.
Finding Our Spot
The main building was bustling with activity as vendors set up for the day. With a little help from Carla, we found our location: a quiet area just beyond the tennis courts, along a winding brick path leading toward the venue’s ‘Secret Garden’, a serene ceremony space enclosed by lush hedging.
It turned out to be the perfect spot. Guests naturally passed by on their way to the garden, smiling the moment they saw our classic Carretto gelato cart waiting for them.
The Carretto Experience
For this showcase, we decided to give couples a real taste of what their wedding day could feel like. Instead of small samples, we served full gelato cups, just like we would on a wedding day.
Our flavour lineup included:
- Lemon Sorbet
- Raspberry Sorbet
- Pistachio
- Chocolate
- Cookies and Cream
- Vanilla Bean
It didn’t take long for Pistachio to disappear; it was the clear favourite within the first hour and a half!
Moments That Made the Day
The event ran from 11am to 3pm, with waves of couples and families arriving every hour. Between the busy periods, we had the chance to chat, laugh, and share stories with so many lovely people, all in great spirits (and even better after a few scoops of gelato).
Though it was a one-person setup for us this time, everything ran smoothly. The quiet moments, the sun peeking through, and the countryside setting all made for a truly memorable day.
By the end of the showcase, we’d already locked in two weddings at Lancemore Macedon Ranges, and we couldn’t be happier to be part of celebrations in such a beautiful venue.
