Sweet Celebrations at Ciao Cielo – A Beautiful Baptism Day in Port Melbourne
Over the weekend, we had the honour of serving our gelato cart in Port Melbourne at a beautiful baptism held at the ever-charming Ciao Cielo. The sun was shining, the breeze was just right, and the day couldn’t have been more perfect.
Approximately one hundred guests gathered as the event launched with palpable energy in the room. Within moments of arrival, the gelato station became the clear focal point – guests of all ages queued eagerly, each with a preferred flavour in mind. Thanks to the prepaid arrangement, attendees could help themselves freely, resulting in a steady stream at the gelato counter throughout the first hour. The atmosphere was lively, and the unlimited servings certainly contributed to the upbeat, enthusiastic mood among both children and adults.
The menu featured four of our most-loved flavours, chocolate, vanilla, lemon sorbet and strawberry sorbet. Might I say it was heartwarming to see so many people coming back for seconds, and the occasional thirds. Some of the little ones returned with wide smiles and sticky hands, while grown-ups decided that one round simply wasn’t enough and we couldn’t agree more.
Ciao Cielo proved to be an excellent choice for this celebration. The atmosphere struck that sweet spot – elegant but still comfortable, letting guests feel at home while enjoying a bit of sophistication. The event flowed naturally, with laughter, genuine connections, and those heartfelt speeches that really set the tone. And honestly, the gelato cart was a stroke of brilliance. It brought a fun, nostalgic element that encouraged everyone to mingle and share a few light-hearted moments.
